    Busselton Jetty., Busselton, Western Australia
    Not yet rated
  • Directions: At the end of Busselton Jetty. Only available during opening hours of the Observatory, 8.30 to 4pm daily.

Comments: The Observatory is 2km out to sea and only accessible by the Jetty. You can walk, or catch an electric train for an extra fee. The jetty surface is concrete blocks with small gaps, ok for wheels but may be bumpy. There is a chest high rail all the way along the southern edge of the jetty (on your left heading out ). It would be easy for a child to get through and fall into the water, so watch out. There are seats every hundred metres or so, two shelters with extra seating, rubbish bins, and platforms for swimming, scuba diving or fishing. Two have ramps, most only have steps. There are two single stall toilets. The one nearer the shore has grabrails, lowered basin and hand dryer, and a change table. It's not labelled as accessible. The doors swing outwards and are very heavy. Doors and locks are manual.
